The Parent Dance, also known in the past as the Father Daughter Dance, is now common place at almost all weddings. It is customary for the Groom to dance with his Mother and the Bride to dance with her Father at this point. There can be times where the Bride and Groom will choose separate dances for each the Mother and Father. In some cases it is also customary, in the middle of the song, for the Bride and or the Groom to switch partners and dance with the step parent.
This wedding dance is for the Bride and or Groom and the Parents only. We always recommend that the Bride and Groom ask the persons they will be dancing with if they have a preference of song. It is ultimately the Bride and Groom's decision though.
Below are the most popular choices of songs for this part of the wedding.
